Call for Entries - East End Film Festival
.....so we dont completely goof up the opportunity to show some really good new films by holding the festival before the London Film Festival we are now holding it after......
The East End Film Festival 2001 will take place between 29 November and 6 December 2001. The festival will be held at a variety of venues across the East End from traditional cinemas to the fabulous, touring "living rooms on wheels". There is the ability to screen features and short films on a variety of formats including 35mm features at the newly refurbished Genesis Cinema, Mile End Road, and shorts on 35mm, 16mm, Beta and VHS.
There will be an award for the best short film made by a local filmmaker, judged by an industry led panel.
We are looking for narrative and documentary films in the following categories:
1: Features completed in the last year.
2: Short films made by local filmmakers (living/working in Tower Hamlets, Newham, Waltham Forest, Hackney) completed since August 2000
3: Shorts filmed in the East End completed since August 2000.
4: Features and shorts that in some way illustrate the East End and/or its communities. (Completion date not important)
