The British Short Screenplay Competition is proud to announce that the award winning producer of 'The End of The Affair', 'Interview With A Vampire' and 'The Crying Game' and chairman of The British Academy's Film Committee, Stephen Woolley, is to join the panel of judges which will select the winners. The panel includes award winning producer Nik Powell, the BAFTA winning producer of 'East is East' Leslee Udwin and actor Charles Dance. The winning screenplay will be produced, premiered at BAFTA to an invited audience of producers, directors, actors, agents and writers. The film will also be shown in selected UK cinemas as well as being entered into international film festivals. No other screenplay contest in the world offers the winner such a prestigious prize. The runner up will receive Movie Magic's Writer's Suite (Screenwriter 2000, Dramatica Pro and StoryView) screenplay writing software. Three further runners up will also receive Movie Magic's Screenwriter 2000 software. The closing date for entries is January 11 2002. After which date the panel will pick the winner.
