In an interview with the Sunday Times Gillian Anderson has stated that she intends to act in a West End production after she leaves The X-Files next summer.
She wouldn't elaborate on the production but she confirmed that her role will be "as far from Scully as humanly possible."
Despite broad acclaim for her lead in Terence Davies' House of Mirth she still feels typecast as her X-Files character. She commented, "I hope I will be able to act my way out of that. But having been Scully for such a long time, I have to prove myself."
Agatha Christie Disappears Again
Agatha Christie Ltd. has placed "an immediate moratorium" on any further film, television or stage productions of the acclaimed writer's work while it considers revising them to make them more contemporary.
Sunday Times has reported that Christie company's decision came after a recent and contemporary remake by CBS of Murder on the Orient Express.
Christie's grandson Matthew Prichard, who owns most of Agatha Christie Ltd told the broadsheet, "I think my grandmother would be in favour of a re-look at her plays and adaptations."
