Netribution is delighted to announce that Irvine Allan's excellent Oscar winning short, Daddy's Girl has won the Best Director award at Capalbio Cinema Festival in Tuscany last Sunday with a prize of 6 Million Lira, (roughly UKP2000) The film has also secured a theatrical release in the UK through Cine France accompanying Claude Chabrol's The Colour of Lies. Premiered Friday 13 in Curzon cinema London's Soho and at the Edinburgh Film House before it begins touring.
Alexander Snelling's frank short film Denial is still reeling from it's slot in front of the deeply disturbing Japanese horror comedy Audition. Netribution attended a showing at the end of June and the response from the audience at the Prince Charles audience in London was magnificent. For Snelling's brilliant VD related film, the Audition slot followed on from it's position as the perfect appetiser for Bridget Jones' Diary at the Genesis cinema in East London.
