The animated blockbuster Shrek has now made over USD14.2 m in three weeks on release in the UK, that's already USD5m more than Hawaiian wannabe Pearl Harbor, which has been in cinemas for seven weeks.

The animated fairytale leap frogged Tomb Raider, USD5m this weekend compared to the action film's USD4.7m. Pokemon 3 reached number five with a paltry USD450,000, but Keanu Reeves' latest effort, Sweet November, only managed USD400,000.

Stateside Jurassic Park 3 took just over USD19 million on its first day and is expected to have topped the US box office over the weekend. Jurassic Park made around $16 million, but its sequel The Lost World made $21.6 million on opening day. The Dinobuster opened in the UK on Friday
