Deja vu for Locarno
The English feature film, Deja vu, directed by Biju Viswanath, has been selected for the 54 Locarno Film Festival in Switzerland from 2-12 August. The film, featuring the British actors Paddy Fletcher and Simon Binns, has been selected to the "film makers of the present" section, which highlights "experimentation in film making and creating new narrative styles". Biju Viswanath and the producers of the film, Sreekar Prasad and Said Alavi, have been invited to attend the festival. the film was in the competition of the Sixth International Film Festival of Kerala.

Jump Bonnie Janey
Silver Films, Janey de Nordwall's short film production company has had the excellent short films Jump and About a Girl accepted by the Edinburgh Film Festival. About a Girl is being screened with When I Was Twelve - which also features our 13 year old star Ashley Thewlis from About a Girl - on Wednesday 22 and Saturday 25 August. It has been accepted by The British Council for inclusion in their Film Catalogue 2001/2. Jump is being screened with the Explosive Fragments 6 Shorts Programme on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 August.
