The veteran British composer James Bernard, noted the scores that accompanied dozens of horror films in the 1950s and 1960s, has died aged 75.
Bernard composed music for British horror heyday classics like as, Dracula , The Devil Rides Out and The Curse of Frankenstein. His only Oscar was for an entirely non-musical contribution. He shared the Best Story award with Paul Dehn in 1951 for his work on Seven Days to Noon.
