Jurassic Park 3 nabbed the top spot of both the UK and US box offices last week. It took UKP4.6 million during its first weekend in UK cinemas, less than The Lost World, it is more than the likes of MI:2 and Gladiator opened with here. Shrek dropped to second with Tomb Raider in third place.
The dino buster opened with a sizeable USD50m Stateside with USD19m on its first day last week, that's USD3m compared to around USD16 million for Jurassic Park and USD1.6 million for The Lost World.
