Screen Daily reported last Tuesday that Capitol Films will now finance David Cronenberg's next feature, Spider.
Capitol took the reigns after Cobalt Media Group were forced to back out from the Patrick McGrath adaptation just weeks from the first day of production.
After a spokesperson confirmed Cobalt was "no longer involved" in Spider Capitol took over but the shoot date for the psycho thriller will now be pushed back, finer details have not been released.
The thriller stars Ralph Fiennes and Miranda Richardson and is being produced through Catherine Bailey Productions and Charles Finch and Luc Roeg's Artists Independent Network.
