Antonia Bird latest offering will be a crime thriller adapted from a novel called Run. The film will be produced by the UK's new Hanthum Films and Bird's production company, 4Way Pictures.
Written by Douglas E Winter from his own novel, the film focuses on a gunrunning businessman on a so-called milk run, which goes wrong.
Bird was quoted, "Run combines action and drama with knowledgeable insight into the political underbelly of America's gun culture. Doug Winter thinks pictures and writes dialogue to die for. It's a movie waiting to shoot."
Bird will produce alongside Hanthum co-founders Mark Salisbury, former editor of Empire magazine and Laura Phillips.
