Winona Ryder has been snapped for the lead in the forthcoming Brit Rom Com Lilyand the Secret Painting.
The Hollywood star is a major boost for Hettie MacDonald's second feature which starts shooting in London August. Ryder plays a young woman caring her mother who falls for an Australian at a plant nursery.
Lily is a $5m co-production between the UK’s Sarah Radclyffe Productions and Strawberry Vale Film and TV Productions and New York-based Hart Sharp Entertainment. John Hart and Jeff Sharp will produce Lucinda Coxon's original script with Sarah Radclyffe and Strawberry Vale’s Caroline Hewitt.
