Screendaily reported last week that the Independent Feature Project (IFP) has announced the slate for this years No Borders Co-Production Market at the end of September and has struck a deal with the Film Council's New Cinema Fund to send UK producers to New York for the event.
The Film Council which will act as a presenting partner for No Borders, alongside Cologne's Filmstiftung Nordrhein-Westfalen and Telefilm Canada, which takes place from September 30 to October 4.
No Borders was founded six years ago and occurs during the IFP Market in New York City. It has its own selection process and acts as a forum for established independent producers to showcase new projects to international buyers, investors and agents.
Of the 35 accepted projects this year, there, 11 English scripts, 11 American scripts and are 12 documentaries in progress. Projects of note include: Shani (Guru In 7) Grewal's The Crime Of A Century; Headlong by Bharat (Downtime) Nalluri and Mouth To Mouth, a European road movie funded by FilmFour.
