In a positive week in the news, FilmFour Ltd has bought the rights to Tishomingo Blues, Elmore Leonard's latest pulp piece released next February.
Leonard, no novice when it comes to adaptations of his novels (Get Shorty, Out Of Sight, Jackie Brown etc.) will produce on the film as a full creative partner on the project with FilmFour.
The project, which was bought by FilmFour's recently appointed LA-based senior VP of production Rebecca Yeldham, who will co-produce with the veteran writer.
A director is yet to be named for the crime comedy, Tishomingo Blues, the story of a 'carnival high-diver who witnesses a murder and a con man from Detroit who joins forces with him to challenge the local Dixie Mafia.'
