Hetty McDonald's Lily and the Secret Planning was thrown into jeopardy this week after Winona Ryder pulled out of the British production midway through filming with a mystery stomach ailment.
Hot on the heels of Julia Roberts, Nicole Kidman and Rene Zilweger as an American actress to grace the UK shores, Ryder was rushed to hospital two days after attending the London premiere of Planet of the Apes. Bed-bound for at least two weeks, producer Mark Hubbard claims they will have to recast her role in the low-budget movie. In addition the insurance company will not pay for the time she was off.
