London will need to brace itself for two of the biggest premieres of the year in the coming weeks as both Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone and The Lord Of The Rings land in the smoke.
The hugely anticipated adaptation of JK Rowling's Harry Potter is coming to town on November 4 and is expected to pack Leicester Square with 6 - 16 year olds like never before.
The first of Peter Jackson's epic Tolkeinean saga the Lord of the Rings will premiere at an, as yet, unknown venue on December 10. The official web site for the film, (http://www.lordoftherings.net) promises a star studded night.
Both premes are marquee events for London, especially on the back of the London Film Festival's impressive line-up, and the films themselves are expected to take magical receipts at the box office with their escapist themes.
