Wages and Remembrance
Last week's Sunday Telegraph reported that a large number of British actors are suing media giant ABC Entertainment for short changing them from a six year-old mini-series of War and Peace.
Actors union Equity are backing the suit filed by the 27 actors for fees overdue from a 1995 series of War and Remembrance aired on ITV, and repeated in 1996 although it was first aired in the States in 1989.

According to the actors, three quarters of their fee should have been paid to them after the first repeat and half of the original fee for the next repeat, neither happened.

But this is no revolt, the series' Eva Braun, played by Kirstie Pooley, remarked in the feature, "Of course it's disappointing. ... I am an actress, I am employed to perform. That's what I did. I did my job well and finished it. It's extremely boring having to go through this process."
