Rings star Sir Ian McKellen has spoken out against archaic working environments for Britain's homosexuals.
The stage veteran says it's appalling that people in the UK can still be sacked for being gay.
Pointing the blame at the government, McKellen attacked Conservative prime minister John Major was "woefully ignorant" at dealing with gay issues and that the present Labour government is no better.
