As reported by James MacGregor in Northern Exposure this week (link), the Film Council has awarded its second round of slate funds totalling over UKP700,000.
Here's the breakdown of funds again: Ecosse Films - UKP250,000 Gabriel Films - UKP66,000 October Films - UKP75,000 Recorded Picture Company - UKP150,000 Riverchild Films - UKP65,000 Ruby Films - UKP100,00
The cash is initially a one-off deal but further funds are available to each company depending on how they perform during the first year.
The two of particular note to new producers is the 65 g's awarded to Riverchild Films, a short film prod co embarking on their debut feature, and doc outfit Gabriel Films' 66 large.
