Byrne in Secret War Talks
Irish star Gabriel Byrne has revealed that George Lucas is considering him for a role in the next Star Wars film.

Lucasfilm are in talks with the Miller's Crossing and Usual Suspects actor but Byrne is reluctant to confirm his involvement, "They have approached me and they are talking about it, but nothing is definite yet."

Byrne was interviewed by Irish industry website Showbizireland and stated that the title-as-genre focused production company conducted negotiations in an altogether unconventional manner based around secrecy, "The way George Lucas works is not the usual way where they have a script, then they offer you a role. I think they develop characters around particular people as far as I know. They have not said anything to me about what role I would play."
