I
Saw You, the short drama written and directed by Ewan
Morrison for the Scottish Screen/SMG New Found Land production
scheme last night won the award for Best Television Regional
Drama at the Royal Television Society.
The drama was produced by David Muir and aired on Scottish
Television on December 7 last year. New Found Land finances
production of a small number of half-hour dramas for television
which air on Scottish Television and Grampian.
It tells the story of Lawrence, disillusioned with his
marriage. He uses his new job at the CCTV department to
spy on his wife and place anonymously "I Saw You"
adverts in the local paper, in an attempt to create an
intricate plan to surprise her.. However, his adverts
raise the curiosity of his frustrated partner, who then
faces a dilemma. Who is this mysterious admirer and should
she meet him?
