Nations and Regions Consider The Shifting Sands

"Shifting Sands" is the subject of the ninth Salford television conference from the Nations and Regions organised by   
PACT and the University of Salford on the 28th November. Following last year's success the conference once again being held at the splendid Lowry Centre,  Salford Quays, this time in the larger Quays Theatre.  And shifting the sands are….With Government endorsing the formation of one ITV in London and an unprecedented amalgamation of the London advertising market, the biggest questions in years are raised about commitments to the regions.   

Intrepid Trio
 
Stuart Prebble, Chief Executive of ITV and Clive Jones from Carlton will be there to explore this.  There will also be an intrepid trio of programme makers including Joh Dyer and Carolyne Reynolds, who plan to take the conference on a journey into the world of exporting.

At the other end of the business there will be pertinent questions about expanding the future of the restricted service licences and in growing media businesses in our most successful creative cities, with contributions from from Stuart Cosgrove, Colin Cameron and Felicity Goodey amongst others.     

Peter Bazalgette, super-indie and Channel 4 board member, will also be there to propose a few reforms with special reference to the regions.
