Two UK independent films are making their International Premieres at the London Screenings this week. Love Life, a romantic drama written and directed Ray Brady, stars Des Backhouse-Brady as a single woman who discovers that she is pregnant after a one-night stand. When the man responsible suggests an abortion, she has a last minute change of heart and walks out of the clinic and his life. Years later, they meet by chance and Scott embarks on a personal quest to convince her to give him a second chance. The film has been produced and distributed by boutique distributor Boudicca, based in London. Baby Blues is the riveting drama of a new mothers rapid descent into mental illness following the birth of her first child. The emotional turmoil turns her husbands well ordered existence upside down, throwing him into a maelstrom of conflicting emotions. A cast of television actors brings an immediacy to this highly emotional drama written and directed by Leeds-based independent filmmaker Owen Carey Jones. Jones will be in London to represent his film. Both can be reached via the Industry Lounge at the Radisson Edwardian Hampshire Hotel, Leicester Square, tel: 0207 839 93 99. |
