The 5th Future Shorts Festival 'Fresh' Premiers in a Prison

Future Shorts have announced the line-up for their new world festival, ‘Fresh'. Now in its fifth year, the largest short film festival in the UK, Future Shorts will host screenings across over 30 cinemas and venues across the UK and 35 countries worldwide every quarter from October 2008. From November (7th - 26th) they will be supporting the Guillemots live tour, where the band will be exclusively rescoring a selection of Future Shorts films - beautifully fusing film and music in sixteen of the UK's most intriguing alternative venues.

The short film festival will premier to inmates at Wandsworth Prison on 11th October and includes a unique and exclusive collection of short films including Wes Anderson's charming and comical ‘Hotel Chevalier' starring Natalie Portman, a special preview of the Cinematic Orchestra's ‘To Build A Home', music videos from Gnarls Barkley, a secret film from Future Short's new DVD title ‘Adventures in Short Film' and Australian festival hit ‘I love Sarah Jane'.

"Future Shorts is now launching in 35 venues across the UK making it the biggest festival of its kind. The festival is premiering in Wandsworth prison, showing our dedication to getting short films seen everywhere. " Fabien Riggall, Founder and Director, Future Shorts
