Created with a passion for independent cinema, the website provides filmmakers, film enthusiasts, and the independent film community with tools to build an interactive bridge, allowing their films to reach the widest possible audience. Iklipz was formed by a leading group of experts in the fields of design, technology, and entertainment. Two of the website's creative forces include former President of Marketing for Paramount Pictures Arthur Cohen and internet entrepreneur Richard Witkowski.

In addition to the expansive features offered to all members, such as the ability to write blogs, host photos, create personal profiles, and upload and share films via URL, iklipz is proud to announce the iklipz Advisory Board. This panel, consisting of a host of industry executives, insiders, film programmers, agents, and talent, will provide selected filmmakers with feedback on their films. This exclusive board includes Magnolia Pictures' Eamonn Bowles, ThinkFILM's Mark Urman, IFP's Michelle Byrd, Feature Shorts Program UK's Fabien Riggall, First Look's Ruth Vitale, renowned publicist Fredell Pogodin, the Gersh Agency's Arianna Bocco, United Talent Agency's Stuart Manashil, Hamptons Film Festival's Raj Roy, as well as filmmaking talent such as producer Jon Landau, and multi-hyphenate filmmakers Julian Schnabel and Ed Burns. Dinerstein will oversee all content and film programming along with Susan Wrubel, who formerly headed up acquisitions and co-productions at Paramount Classics.
